Namesco launches TvMax - The complete digital lifestyle for the home

Namesco, a leading UK based ISP, has announced that its highly anticipated TvMax service is now available. The ISP has begun fulfilment of orders for the new service to the pre-registered user base of nearly 1000 clients and as of today, to new customers. The service is available from their website www.tvmax.co.uk

The new service has received significant attention from the industry press both in the UK and abroad, as the first offering of its kind in the UK, combining a high-speed broadband connection up to 8Mbps, Netgem's iPlayer DVB receiver with PVR functionality and exclusive tvMax content.

TvMax enables viewers to receive over 50 Digital Terrestrial TV and Digital Radio channels through a TV aerial and is compatible with Top-up TV, allowing the addition of another 11 fantastic channels. The iPlayer's integrated hard drive allows users to record and store up to 30 hours of programmes without the need for tapes or discs and the "timeshift" feature allows the viewer to pause and rewind live TV.

As an ipTV ready service, TvMax will give users a taste of the future of television with the exclusive TvMax channel, which will allow users to access and subscribe to over 30,000 Podcasts, access the web and read and send mail all from the remote control. Designed with the future in mind, TvMax will also support the BBC's catch up TV service, which is reported to launch later this year.

As a special offer until July 31st, the monthly subscription fee for the service starts from just £25.95 (usual price £29.95) with a choice of two different packages available.

Namesco's CEO, Kevin Savage commented "TvMax is currently a unique service in the market. Not only does it provide fantastic viewing features, such as Digital Freeview TV & PVR functionality, it is ready for ipTV and gives the viewer a chance to experience the future of television. With our exclusive TvMax channel, customers can access Podcasts, their Email, Photo Galleries and even surf the web. Using Windows Media Connect users can also access photos, music and movies stored on a home PC and stream them straight to the TV. We are also talking to content providers with a view to expand the service in the near future. I truly believe this is a fantastic and unique service - the future of the digital home"

To launch the service, Namesco has announced an amazing "Digital Lifestyle" competition, with £5000 worth of equipment to be won including a 42" Plasma screen, top of the range A/V amp, an Acoustic Energy Aegis Evo surround sound system plus free subscription to the tvMax service for life.
