If you have already registered a .cn domain name please ensure you pay particular attention to the expiry date as if this is lost, you may not be able to secure it again. Late in 2009 the Chinese registry decided to take action to try and prevent the number of malicious registrations. As of 20 December, 2009, CNNIC is requiring documentation to accompany all .CN domain registrations.
Applications for a .cn can only be accepted from Multi-national entities that have a Chinese branch* and the person submitting the application on behalf of the registrant (the entity), must be a Chinese citizen and have a valid PRC personal ID.
* The local entity must register with the relevant Chinese authorities and possess an ICP Number.
